At the crossroads of civilizations, Morocco and its capital city of Rabat are located in the North West corner of Africa, only 10 miles from Europe. The capital, Rabat embodies the variety and contrasts of Morocco. Rabat is an ideal location for experiencing a successfully functioning multilingual society (Arabic, French, and Berber).

The country is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on the northern, and the Atlantic Ocean on the western side. The port city Tangier faces the southern most point of Spain just across the Strait of Gibraltar

Why a summer in morocco?

 

A summer will take you beyond classrooms, and provide a unique intercultural & linguistic experience, and a new way of life in a new environment.

It will enrich the student’s knowledge, and prepare them for a global market.

 

Knowledge offers the international students a program designed to promote their political and cultural awareness, through a series of field trips to many cultural locations.

 

 Students will participate in group field trips and excursions, including a trip to the Sahara desert. Other field trips will include museums and monuments. Excursions will: Marrakech, Fes (the cultural capital), Meknes (imperial city), Volubilis (Roman Ruins), Casablanca (the economic capital), and Tangier on the Mediterranean Sea.

 

Housing & Meals

During these trips students will be hosted in double occupancy rooms in 3 star hotels with usual amenities.

Price includes: Living expenses in Rabat, 3 Meals a day, transportation accommodation & all study materials.

All in-country travels are a part of the academic program and are included in the program cost.

Students are responsible for the following expenses: international airfare and personal expenses.


Getting There

Students will be required to arrive on one recommended flight to be picked up at the airport.

 The language of instruction is English for all coursework. Students will live with Moroccan host families in order to become more familiar with Moroccan culture & lifestyle.
